You should look online and in the TV manual to find out if the TV you bought has HDMI 3.1.  I think its more likely a problem with your TV not a given Blu-Ray player (minus maybe some of the very first models).  You need HDMI version 3.1 on both sides of the equation to carry audio over HDMI.

But if you don&#039;t that doesn&#039;t mean you&#039;re stuck.  You can still carry the picture over HDMI and use something like Optical audio.  You would still get very good results with that kind of configuration.</description>
