which blu-ray disk players are compatable with dlp tv’s?
James Y asked:
I have a Mitsubishi 60″ dlp tv and I am in the market for a blu-ray player. Many of the reviews I am reading state that there is an audio handshake problem between certain blu-ray players and dlp tv’s when using an hdmi connection. Any suggestions?

You should look online and in the TV manual to find out if the TV you bought has HDMI 3.1. I think its more likely a problem with your TV not a given Blu-Ray player (minus maybe some of the very first models). You need HDMI version 3.1 on both sides of the equation to carry audio over HDMI.
But if you don’t that doesn’t mean you’re stuck. You can still carry the picture over HDMI and use something like Optical audio. You would still get very good results with that kind of configuration.
I believe ‘jf’ means HDMI v1.3.
