where is the aux input socket on a ford focus mp3 stereo?

i hate yanks! asked:


ive bought a cable off ebay that allows me to play my ipod through the stereo in the car, i have a 2003 ford focus mp3 with the standard cd/mp3 player in. i havent lookes at the back of the stereo yet, just wanted confirmation of the location of the socket before i started messing about!

wow thats jason, your help was about as much use as a gore tex tea bag! i am aware that it is only designed to play mp3 cd’s.

    If it isn’t plainly visible on the front somewhere, you don’t have it. Just because it’s MP3 compatible doesn’t mean it will have the “AUX IN” for your MP3 player. It just means it will play an MP3 disk.

    UPDATE:

    Ok, well…pull the radio out then. You’re not going to find anything back there. Blaupunkt/Sony as subnrg stated doesn’t make ford radios, pioneer does. fyi

    Yeah.. the plug is in the back of the radio. There are different modules for the Blaupunkt/Sony branded original radios, just in case they didn’t let you know. Here is the non Bla/Sony Soundgate module and the application guide.
