What bass guitars are best for playing metal music ?

I want to start learning to play Bass guitar,i was looking for a somewhat cheap guitar not much more than $300 or $400 tops.

If you know of any all-in-one Bass guitar value packs that are good for metal or specifically for metal,that would be great thanks !
