I know going backwards will work different muscles. I have not heard it is bad in any way. I am not an expert here, but I do not think the machines would be made with it if it were bad. My fitness center just got new equipment a few weeks ago and they all have the reverse. I think your workout sounds great and I think it will benefit you.</description>

Most elipticals I&#039;ve seen have a reverse mode on them. 

Yes they are definitely safe to go backwards on.  They work out different muscles</description>
