I am trying to repair my LifeFitness 9500HR Elliptical Trainer?

I have a Life Fitness 9500HR elliptical trainer and the pulse monitor no longer works. Do you know how to fix it and where I can get the parts? The panel just reads “0″ but it also knows when I let go because it tells me to “HOLD ON”.

I really want to do this myself, if possible.
