Customize your ride with the Zumo 550. Designed by bikers, Zumo’s motorcycle-friendly features make it easy to operate. From back roads to rallies, its high-end navigation features give you the freedom to go where you want. Zumo 550 comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator NT street maps and a hefty points of interests (POI) database, including motels, restaurants, fuel, ATMs and more. A rechargeable, removable lithium-ion battery is integrated into Zumo for up to three hours of typical usage. With Zumo’s Bluetooth wireless technology, you can talk on the phone safely without removing your gloves or helmet. The SD card expansion makes it easy for storage and route sharing. Download routes to share, even load mp3 files to your unit to enjoy tunes on the road. In addition, JPEG Picture Viewer lets you share photos of your adventures. makes my bike a complete unit
i ride a Harley V Rod. Though this bike is not meant for long rides, I still travel long distances. Plus I do a lot of in-city [Atlanta, GA] riding. The Garmin Zumo 550 is a fantastic, extremely reliable and user-friendly addition. I also receive many phone calls as I'm riding. The Garmin's bluetooth feature interacts perfectly with my phone...very cool and hands free. [of course I have an Interphone device installed in my helmet.]

Really works like it says
I have a TomTom rider that I replaced with the Zumo 550, just like night and day. I can preplan routes, and create routes on the fly. I hard wired it into my Ultra Classic using a J&M harness, instead of Blueooth. Works great, a better lock would be great. The screen is brighter and easier to read. I would buy it again, and did. First of all, don't buy elsewhere...promises of lower prices are simply NYC scam jobs...
The Zumo allows you to integrate navi, phone, and SDHC music with basically no effort...
The product is awesome in every way...waterproof for a motorcycle...
I coulpled this with a scala rider 2 and it works great...a bit hard to hear at highway speeds but no complaint...I'm very happy with the zumo...you will be too!

Zumo 550 - Great for Bikes and Cars
I purchased my second Zumo 550, after my original was stolen from a rental car. The unit performs exceptionally well, and is very easy to use and understand.
I use it on my BMW R1200GS and also in my car. The unit ships with all the stuff you need to mount it on the bike and in the car. There are maps available from Mad Maps which feature some nice motorcycle routes in a variety of different US states.
