Do GPS systems tell you when to turn beforehand (ex 200 ft before turn) AND right when your supposed to turn?

M J asked:

Do GPS systems tell you when to turn beforehand (ex 200 ft before the turn) AND right when your supposed to turn? I was curious on getting one and was curious. If anyone could help, it would be appreciated!
…sorry about the repetition of ‘curious’!

If it is one of the speaking ones (some of the cheap ones don’t). It will say turn in 200 meters or 100 meters or something and then when it gets to the turn it will say turn right/left. And you can see on the screen how many more meters till you have to turn.

So yea it tells you before you get to the turn that you will need to turn soon.

Yes, voice-enabled GPS systems makes driving easier with turn-by-turn driving directions.

And now they sell Navtones which are GPS tones by celebrities. So instead of a woman’s voice you normally hear, how about hearing from Britney?
